I have the priviledge of working with a team of truely caring and dedicated stylist. If you are sick of feeling out of place when visiting a salon, this is the place for you.

Stylists

Heather has worked in Sydney, Gold coast before settling in Canberra. Her work has featured in international Hair magazines. She freelanced for Channel 10 and has won many awards, including twice winning IHSACT Hairstylist of the Year. Heather has trained intensely to increase her communication skills as well as constantly upgrading her hairdressing skills, to ensure that she not only has the trade skills to do the latest looks, but also can understand what you are wanting also.  

Sheryn is a very creative and talented stylist. She has extensive formal hair skills, as well as coloring and cutting. Sheryn has worked with many of Canberras’ Designers and has worked on editorial shoots. Her work has featured in magazines including American Crew and Brides, as well as the local City News. In 2011 she has Won several awards in the International Hairstylist Societys' Mini Competitions and placed 1st in the Mens Cutting at the 2011 ACT IHS State competitions.

Amina is one of Canberra City’s newest up and coming stylist. Her previous experience and professional attitude, combined with her enthusiasm is exciting to work with. You wont find a more dedicated stylist. Amina was awarded second place in the Bridal section of the IHS mini comps this year.   

Laurinda establishing herself at Hair in the City after eleven years in the industry, she has recently returned from Melbourne and works in both salons on a full time basis. Her caring nature and wide variety of skills are unusual for such a young hairstylist. Laurinda is more than happy to accomodate your out of work hours if necessary.

Caroline  Is part owner of the new Chapman Studio. She is available on Tuesday and Thursday ,as well as Saturdays. She has been running her own business for many years and is a well known Canberra Stylist.

Joanne is a highly awarded and well known Canberra Stylist. She works from our Chapman Studio on a part time basis. 

Cheryl has recently moved to Canberra with her family from the UK after spending a brief time working in Sydney. She is available on Friday evenings and weekends. She is happy to accomodate your out of work hours and works on Sundays by appointment only.

Junior Stylists

Kate has just returned from 9 months in England to continue her apprenticeship with Hair in the City. We are delighted to have her on our team and watch her skills grow rapidly. In 2011 Kate entered her first Hairdressing Competition and was awarded Second place in the Junior Catwalk Section. She will be competing in the National Hairdressing Awards in Melbourne this year, and we wish her well.

Assistants

Kim, Erin, Carrie, Brooke and Bec are our amazing casual assistants. If you come later in the week or while school holidays is on you may have the pleasure of meeting these wonderful young people.
