Testimonials Over the years I’ve tried every product, every style, and every hair dresser and salon Canberra has to offer, and at very best I am satisfied. I’ve asked for one thing and got another. I've picked a ‘model to model myself off’ and got something entirely different again. I've even sat in a chair, given the boss my credit card, and said “Pretend I’m your boyfriend; how would you want me to look?” and received as much creativity and flare as a brick wall. As a young male I’m not interested in the fuss that surrounds today’s haircuts. I don’t want to have to think of products to try, where I should go, or what I should ask for when I get there. I just want a hair cut that looks good. I’d like to say Hair in the City did this for me, but that would be an immeasurable understatement. Hair in the City offers its customers an experience. On arrival you are greeted at the door by your own stylist. During the phases of having your hair washed, cut, and styled you are escorted by your stylist’s personal assistant- who offers beverages, checks that you like the music that is playing, and even has pre-selected magazines tailed to your age-groups likes waiting for you to read at your hair dressing station. More importantly though you get someone that actually knows hair. I was fortunate enough to get the lovely Ms Heather Sainsbury who, from the moment I sat down, had a wonderful range of ideas and suggestions, which she was genuinely enthused about, to try on my hair. She was able to ascertain and describe what type of hair I had, as well as give explanations as to why certain things hadn’t have worked for me in the past. She was as professional and precise with my hair as she was warm and friendly with her conversation during my time at the salon. The final result didn’t disappoint either; I got a fantastic hair cut, which I could not have been happier about. I don’t have to turn my head left and right to appreciate what I’ve got because it looks good from every angle. I don’t even have to put anything in it to feel confident and comfortable out in public. However, if I change my mind, Heather also suggested clay products and shampoos that would suit my hair perfectly. I’ve since gone back to Hair in the City, bought the products (which Heather could not have been more right about) and booked in again. I’ve written this for anyone out there who is as tired and frustrated as I was, and also to say a big thank you to Heather and her team at Hair in the City. Matthew, 19. |
